Hi, my name is Laine Doherty and my journey in the world of makeup began with a childhood fascination that bloomed into a lifelong passion. From my earliest memories, I was entranced by the transformative power of cosmetics.

After completing my undergraduate education at the University of California Davis, where I earned a degree in Communications in 2020, I decided to delve deeper into my love for makeup. I embarked on a new adventure, moving to Vancouver, Canada, to pursue my dreams at the prestigious Vancouver Film School's Makeup Design for Film and Television program.

During my time at Vancouver Film School, I honed my skills under the guidance of industry experts. I immersed myself in various techniques, mastering decade makeup, classic beauty looks, intricate hand laying and hair ventilation, crafting bald caps, creating special effects, refining my abilities in shop work, and more.

My dedication and talent did not go unnoticed. In December of 2023, I proudly graduated from Vancouver Film School, earning the coveted Makeup Design Achievement Award for my outstanding performance, and graduated with honors.

Currently residing in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area, I am on the brink of an exciting new chapter in my career. With my sights set on the heart of the entertainment industry, I am gearing up to make the move to Los Angeles in the Fall, ready to leave my mark on the world of makeup artistry.
